Pappy Santa | the most FAMOUS North Texas Santa Claus.

When most people see Mike "Pappy Claus" Stevens, they see a Santa suit, a white beard, and a smile that lights up a room.

What they may not see is the heart behind the beard.

As the very first participant in my 250 Faces of North Texas project, I had the opportunity to spend time with Pappy and his wife, Kim, and learn a little more about the people behind the magic.

Over the years, Pappy has brought joy to thousands of children and families, but his story is about much more than Christmas. It's about service, community, kindness, and using your gifts to make the world a little brighter.

In honor of America's 250th birthday, I'm sharing the stories of people who make North Texas special, and Pappy is the perfect place to begin.
