Downtown Denton Senior Session | Fall 2017

It's no secret that my absolute favorite places to do portraits for graduating high school seniors is in urban locations.  And Downtown Denton is my most frequented area, hands-down.  The textures, color and history lend well to complimenting the youth and vitality of my senior clients.

When Jordan's mom came to me in early fall last year, I immediately pitched the idea to them and they loved it.  Especially since this is the last year they will spend as residents of Denton County.  Once Jordan graduates, they will be officially moving out of state full-time and having her pictures taken here was a way for her to say goodbye and take a little part of this time of her life with her.

We started out enjoying the rustic textures of Queenies and the backside of Elm Street in Denton, Texas.

The alley area behind the Mini Mall in Denton has long been a favorite of mine.  I am just heartbroken over the recent fire and was glad we got these final images before the whole area was closed off to the public while structural renovations took place.

A new fun place to pop into is the Denton County Brewing Company.  With their eclectic decor and natural light, it's a obvious choice for a few poses during a senior session.  Plus the staff is friendly and helpful, and the beer makes for a great break for mom/dad and photog.  :)

It was the start of the holiday season when we did Jordan's senior session, so of course we had to incorporate the beautiful tree at DCBC in at least a pose or two.  And I am in love with the old train doors that lead to the bathroom.

We wrapped up by popping outside to the patio of DCBC for a few more outdoor shots before we hugged and said goodbye for the day.

Thank you Jordan and Tanna for trusting me with this milestone in your lives.  It was a pleasure spending time with you and I can't wait to follow along on social media and see where your future takes you.  I know it will be as bright and promising as you are.  Congrats Jordan and lots of luck and blessings.  <3
